Sporting Superstars!

We actively encourage our pupils to take part in a wide variety of out of school sports. We hope you enjoy reading about some of our children's achievements. If you are a Morlander with an achievement you'd like to share with us then please email this into Miss Metcalf.

Annie took part in a Swimathon to raise money for CLIC Sargent.. CLIC Sargent is a charity that helped Annie when she had leukaemia. Annie swam a fantastic 10 lengths of Penrith pool which was especially good as she just got her certificate for one length front crawl and one length back stroke the week before Christmas. Annie raised over £300 with lots of Team Morland parents sponsoring her and she had lots of encouragement from the other children in school.

Such a lovely day yesterday at the IDTA qualifiers. Izzy qualified in all her dances so back to Blackpool in November for the nationwide finals, and this year she’s also qualified for the street finals in March! She came 5th in Freestyle solo and 2nd in Street Solo. Izzy is also now competing in the pairs sections with a new dance partner. We are very proud of her - it’s been a year since she started freestyle dance competitions and to watch her grow over this time, in her dancing and her confidence, has been amazing. Massive thank you to Andrea Stones for all the hard work you put into everything you do and inspiring in Izzy her love to dance.
