Welcome to Class 3!
In Class 3 our Teachers are;
Miss Boyd on a Monday and a Tuesday and
Mrs Johnson on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, supported by Mrs Watson.
Miss Walsh teaches French and Mrs Dobinson teaches Music on a Wednesday afternoon.
This term we have lots of exciting things to look forward to in Year 3 and 4:
Topic: This term we will be learning all about the Geography of South America.
Science: This term we continue with: Food webs, Habitats and Food Chains, Electricty, Vertebrates and Invertebrates. Come and see our investigations!
Maths: We work really hard in maths and are continuing to work on Number skills with Big Maths, along with Shape and Space, Data Handling and Measurement. Our Big Maths, Beat That! will be on a Friday along with our times tables test.
English: We are starting off with the theme of persuasion, look out for our letters and adverts. Then we will be reading The Ice Palace, a beautiful Norwegian Classic. Following our residential to York we will be making leaflets to show you the delights of York.
PE: Is on a Monday and a Wednesday at the moment, we have started with Cricket, and Ball skills. We will also be doing Athletics to gear up for sports day! And Rounders ready for competitions! There will also be the opportunity to take part in a number of sporting events as we speed through the Summer term! Many children are meeting the mile stones on Mile A Day -Please make sure the children have their PE kits in school Monday to Friday as we are also continuing this challenge!
